What we collect
Jackpot Calculator has no user accounts. Calculations run in your browser, without a separate form submission to receive your inputs. Your inputs, including prize amounts, other income, losses, state and filing status, may be included in the page URL so you can bookmark or share a result. When that URL is opened or reloaded, its path and query parameters are sent to Cloudflare, our hosting provider, as part of the page request. Anyone you share the link with can also see those inputs.
Advertising and analytics scripts on a page can access its URL. Avoid including information you do not want others to see in a shared calculator link. We do not send calculator inputs as custom advertising or analytics events or use them to create advertising audience lists.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure visits and page performance. It uses a browser beacon and does not use analytics cookies or track you across other websites. The beacon processes page and technical performance information.
Advertising and cookies
Jackpot Calculator shows, or may show, ads served by Google AdSense. Ads help pay for the site; they never change the calculations or the order of any results.
- Google and other third-party vendors use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on those visits.
- These vendors may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser identifiers, and the pages you view. How Google uses information from sites that use its services explains what Google does with this data.
- You can turn off personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of personalized ads from many third-party vendors at aboutads.info. If you turn personalization off, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used. Use the Privacy settings link in the footer to reopen the consent message and change your choice. On pages without advertising, this link opens the privacy controls on a content page.
Your privacy choices and US state rights
We do not sell personal information for money. But some US state privacy laws, including those in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Texas, treat the use of advertising cookies to show personalized ads as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
Where Google's US state privacy message applies, use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer to open its opt-out controls. On pages without advertising, the link opens these controls on a content page. Google processes the choice made in that message.
If the controls are unavailable, or for other requests about your data, email hello@jackpotcalculator.com. Please identify the request you want us to handle. An email request does not automatically change Google's cookie or advertising choices in your browser; use Google's advertising settings linked above for those choices.
We do not send Google anything that identifies you by name, email or address.
Children
This site is about lottery prizes and taxes and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
